Latvia Sports Award of the Year

The awards ceremony has become a welcome tradition and a prestigious State level sport event that is presented live on Latvian television. At the event, in a festive environment, the best male and female Latvian athletes, teams, and trainers receive awards. Prospero has been organising this ceremony every year since 2008 in co-operation with Igo Japin's Sports Agency, the Latvian Olympic Committee, and the Ministry of Education and Science. The artistic solution of the ceremony includes a special message to society, which is related to the Olympic movement. The awards are handed out by the President and distinguished persons from the cultural, art, and sports circles.
